ART CORPS Volunteers

ART CORPS Volunteers

Help bring art to Turtleback students by volunteering your time and talents to ART CORPS. This developmental art program teaches children the fundamentals of art through eight monthly lessons. Volunteers are needed to present lessons to each classroom. No teaching or art background is required and all lessons and materials are provided. ART CORPS will present eight one-hour workshops demonstrating how to teach these lessons.

Classroom volunteers will:

  • Attend orientation and eight training workshops
  • Schedule art lessons with the teacher
  • Set up and clean up (30-45 min. prior to the lesson and 30 min. after)
  • Teach the 60-minute lesson based on curriculum provided by ART CORPS

Please plan to join us for our first orientation meeting on Friday, September 16 at 12:00 p.m. in the MPR (Multipurpose room). Even if you’re unable to be a full-time ART CORPS volunteer, but would still like to be involved, we would love to have you attend and find out more about the Art Corps. Everyone who is interested in a role–large or small–please sign up below by completing the online registration form.
